District of Raga is a fiscally sponsored project of Fractured Atlas, a 501(c)(3) charity. Contributions made payable to Fractured Atlas for the purposes of District of Raga are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. If you receive a reward in exchange for your donation, the fair market value of that reward will reduce the tax-deductible portion of your donation. Our mission revolves around creating a platform that connects artists to audiences, thereby building community, fostering cultural exchange, and celebrating diversity. We partner with a diverse range of organizations to curate and present concerts as well as public programming throughout Washington D.C., Maryland, and Virginia. These events play a pivotal role in uniting our community, promoting inclusivity, offering essential support to artists, and making significant contributions to cultural preservation and social impact.
Since our inception, we have organized over 100 events, including free and ticketed performances, educational workshops, dance classes, art markets, and film screenings, providing essential support to more than 125 artists while uniting thousands of attendees.
We have helped carve out a notable space for South Asian performing arts on some of the largest and most respected stages in the area, including The Smithsonian Asian Art Museum, Wolf Trap, The Kennedy Center, and Strathmore. We are proud to be one of 22 individuals/organizations in DC nominated and selected to be in the inaugural class of The Kennedy Center’s Culture Caucus. Furthermore, our partnership with Wolf Trap continues to thrive, now entering its third year, as we curate and co-present a series of concerts together.
We plan to continue presenting our programming with our established partners and look forward to forging new partnerships to expand our reach and programming.
Your generous donation helps us create, inspire, and elevate south asian performing arts in our community.
